General Ndriçim Sallaku passed away as a result of infection with Covid-19. The news was announced by the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi. He writes that General Sallaku won every challenge where he served in the Armed Forces, but unfortunately lost the battle with COVID-19.
"I have no words for the sudden death of the commander of the Support Command, Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku. In such a short time at the head of the Ministry of Defense, General Sallaku showed that he was one of the most prominent collaborators, with an extraordinary sense of sensitivity for the community, which he showed even during the recent floods in Nënshkodër and Katund i Ri.
