Tonight is the biggest night of music and the 2021 Grammy will be the first to kick off the 2021 awards ceremony. However many artists who were not on the nomination list say they will speak before the ceremony kicks off tonight. Canadian R&B star The Weeknd said he would boycott all of the Grammys in the future.
Meanwhile, Zayn Malik, whose latest album was not nominated for this year 's awards after being released after the due date, said that if the artists do not shake hands and send gifts they have no chance of being recognized. This year, female artists dominate, despite making up just over 20% of the nominees. Beyonce leads with nine nominations, followed by Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch and Taylor Swift, with 6 nominations. Of all those female groups, Women in Music Pt. III - Haim is the first group to be nominated for a Grammy Award - Album of the Year.
